A $15 million penthouse at the Residences by Armani/Casa is going on the market with an unusual bonus: an Armani-themed trip to Italy that includes a short visit with Giorgio Armani, the fashion designer who, with his team, designed the interiors and finishes of the oceanfront building.
The building’s second penthouse, not yet on the market, will be peddled with the Armani trip as well, said Gil Dezer, who is developing the 308-unit project in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. with the Miami-based Related Group. Construction of the building is slated for completion in 2018.
In addition to two first-class, round trip tickets to Milan, and the “meet and greet” with Mr. Armani, the package for penthouse buyers includes a two-night stay at Armani Hotel Milano, a private after-hours tour of Giorgio Armani’s flagship store, dinner for two at Armani/Ristorante, cocktails at Armani/Privé and a signed copy of Mr. Armani’s self-titled book. Penthouse buyers will also get an upgraded floor plan and furniture designed by the Armani team. (A spokeswoman for Armani/Casa said the meeting with Mr. Armani is contingent on the designer’s availability).
For his participation in the project, Mr. Armani, 81, was paid a design fee and a royalty on unit sales.
The six-bedroom duplex penthouse, on the 53rd and 54th floors of the building, measures about 6,000 square feet. About 180 units in the building have been sold so far, Mr. Dezer said. Sales in the building started in the summer of 2015, but the penthouse was not on the market until now.
Dezer Platinum Realty is handling sales in the building, where amenities include a pool, gym, spa, a private restaurant, cigar lounge and wine lockers.
