Belissa Alvarez oversees the strategy and administration of the Related Philanthropic Foundation and The Jorge M. Pérez Family Foundation. Prior to joining Related Group, Belissa led philanthropic initiatives for corporations and nonprofits, including Miami Children’s Museum, Baptist Health Foundation and Burger King McLamore Foundation, Burger King Corporation’s philanthropic arm, where she managed initiatives with organizations such as Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and Muscular Dystrophy Association. She holds a BA in international relations from Mount Holyoke College and an MS in mass communication from Florida International University.
