A 127-unit elderly affordable housing development in Opa-locka, Town Center Apartments was purchased using Neighborhood Stabilization Program funds through the Opa-locka Community Development Corporation. Related worked with the City of Opa-locka Community Development Department and Planning Council to create a Transit Oriented Development District to help increase the density of the site. The project was funded in part by the Miami-Dade County Housing Finance Authority; in addition to tax credits and bonds, Related secured four subordinate loans totaling more than $10 million.
